Macular edema

Macular edema occurs when fluid and protein deposits collect in the eyeball on or under a part of the retina (the lining of the back of the eye) that is called the macula. This material causes the macula to thicken and swell, and it may distort a person's central vision.

The macula provides sharp, clear central vision that allows a person to see form, color, and detail that is directly in the line of sight.

All Ignite Healthwise, LLC education is reviewed by a team that includes physicians, nurses, advanced practitioners, registered dieticians, and other healthcare professionals.

In an effort to better meet the needs of our community our office hours will be changing as of September 2, 2024.

Monday-Thursday we will be offering appointments as early as 8am and as late as 4pm.

On Fridays we will be offering appointments as early as 8am and as late as 12:30pm.

We believe the addition of these earlier and later appointments during the week will better meet the needs of our patients.
